We are committed to ensuring that our venues offer a safe and enjoyable experience for all. We work hard to make sure that our racecourses + rugby stadiums are accessible to everyone, regardless of your ability, and provide for your needs during all aspects of our events.

Here are some frequently asked questions about accessibility at our events.

HOW TO PURCHASE AN ACCESSIBLE TICKET AND APPLY FOR A COMPLIMENTARY PERSONAL ASSISTANT TICKET?

We welcome music and sports fans with disabilities to all our venues and offer a range of facilities to enable you to enjoy all aspects of your day. Complimentary tickets for personal assistants are available to all guests but you will be asked to provide evidence of your eligibility.

The documents we can accept include:

  • A copy of the awarding letter from DWP or statement confirming receipt of the allowance.
  • A copy of the awarding letter confirming receipt of the Personal Independence Payment.
  • A copy of the awarding letter confirming receipt of the Attendance Allowance.

Additionally, those who are Registered Blind are also eligible.

Please note: only one complimentary personal assistant ticket is available per person.

To purchase an accessible ticket and to apply for a complimentary personal assistant ticket for a concert at cinch Stadium at Franklins Gardens, please book through AXS here and select “accessible tickets”. Jockey Club Racecourses

To purchase an accessible ticket and to apply for a complimentary personal assistant ticket for a racecourse event, please contact the ticketing team at the racecourse you intend to visit. All contact information for booking accessible and personal assistant tickets can be found in the racecourse-specific tabs below.

HOW TO REQUEST A PERFORMANCE INTERPRETER?

If you are hearing-impaired and would like to request a performance interpreter at a music night, please contact us one month prior to the event date by emailing access@musicplussport.com and we will be happy to organise this for you.

ARE ASSISTANCE DOGS PERMITTED AT YOUR EVENTS?

Assistance dogs are welcome to attend with their owners without additional charge subject to production upon entry of a valid identification document from Assistance Dogs (UK) or an equivalent international organization.

A separate ticket is not required however owners should notify the venue in advance upon booking their tickets so that any necessary arrangements can be made. Contact details for each venue can be found in the tabs below.

ARE DISABLED PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE?

Franklin’s Gardens, Northampton

Disabled car parking spaces are available to purchase for £15 and available through AXS.

Racecourses

Blue badge car parks are available at each racecourse. More information can be found in the venue specific tabs below.

ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREAS FOR HORSE RACING
  • Trackside – there are dedicated accessible viewing areas in each stand at Aintree which offers great views of the racing
  • Parade Ring – there is a dedicated accessible viewing area next to the Parade Ring
ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREA FOR MUSIC EVENTS

We offer an accessible viewing area close to the stage in the Red Rum Garden. Please let us know if you wish to book a space in our accessible viewing area for a music night.

We are currently operating a waiting list for our viewing areas, which you will be added to once you confirm your requirements. At this stage, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all requests but we will use our best endeavors to do so. You will be held on our waiting list and we will confirm as soon as we can how we are able to accommodate your requirements. Please be reassured that if for any reason we cannot accommodate your needs we will offer you a refund.

TOILETS

CAR PARKING

Accessible customers have access to a disabled car park. Car Parking spaces are £15. Please purchase these when you purchase your tickets and let us know when you send your eligible documents across. Spaces will be allocated by us in advance, and car park details will be sent to you along with your guest information pack closer to the time of the event.

ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREAS FOR THE CONCERT

We offer an accessible viewing platform for all shows at this venue. Spaces are first come first served. If you do not need a space on the viewing platform and you need an aisle seat or a seat with little or no steps, these can be allocated too. We will discuss your seating needs with you when you send over your eligibility documents. Please let us know if you wish to book a space in our accessible viewing area.

Please be reassured that if for any reason we cannot accommodate your needs we will offer you a refund.

We install disabled toilets near the viewing platform.

BOOKING ACCESSIBLE TICKETS, COMPLIMENTARY CARER TICKETS, AND MORE

Tickets can be purchased in advanced online. Proof of blue badge or PIP number is required, this can either be provided in advance via email or phone call, for tickets to be posted out or on the day for ticket collection.

We welcome customers who have a personal assistant or carer to the Racecourse. Our policy is for the first personal assistant or carer to attend free to any paid Newbury Racecourse event.  If a second carer is required they will be expected to pay full price.

CAR PARKING

Blue Badge holders are given forward parking in the Car Parks, free of charge. These parking areas are subject to capacity on the day and operate on a first come, first served basis and can provide closer proximity to entrances. Please note that there is no accessible parking in Car Park 1 as the track crossing is on grass, although visitors are welcome to park in this area if they choose.

ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREAS FOR HORSE RACING + MUSIC EVENTS

We have plenty of external seating for public use, on a first come first served basis. We provide an accessible viewing platform for disabled visitors and one personal assistant/carer on a first come first served basis. Please call us on 01635 40015 to find out more.

TOILETS

All of our buildings have accessible toilets (both wheelchair and ambulant disabled) which can be accessed through using a Radar key. These keys can be collected from the East Entrance or Berkshire Receptions or from the bar, restaurant or hospitality Manager, or you are welcome to use your own.

All toilets are clearly signed, but should you need any assistance locating the toilets, please speak to the nearest member of staff.

Priority parking for guests is available and situated close to the Main Entrance – please show stewards your blue badge and they will direct you to the parking bays.

ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREAS FOR HORSE RACING

There are disabled viewing areas along the front of the grandstand.

ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREA FOR MUSIC EVENTS

For music nights at Sandown Park Racecourse a temporary platform is installed with a view of the stage. Spaces are limited on the platform so we only permit one carer/assistant per guest. Spaces on the platform are pre-booked and allocated accordingly but there are other unreserved areas that can be accessed when the platform is fully booked.

Sandown Park Racecourse has accessible toilets in all areas, with a mixture of RADAR key accessible toilets and toilets where RADAR is not required. Our stewards can access RADAR keys if you don’t have one of your own.
